Guestbook

A few people have asked me why I haven't enabled comments. I guess initially it was because I liked the uncluttered look, but also because seeing '0 comments' everywhere would've made me feel empty and hungry.

So this guestbook is a compromise. Here is the place where I stand forlornly by my wares just like Marcie. Please say hello to me if you wish.

Here is an approximation of myself:

Hey Liz, this blog has made me laugh! Wonderful, quirky and darkly deadpan. I love it.

Ha! Is that Lily from Letters & Numbers in the 11th July comic? I hope I am right!

I admire her too. I have to go and check out that comic. What a woman.

I think I read (and enjoyed) your story in Voiceworks. Nice one! Shame they misprinted your blog URL, but I found you.

Good luck with your writing in future.

Hello LPL! Thank you for your kind words. Ah, I didn't realise there was a misprint of my blog URL. :( I guess curious Voiceworks readers can enjoy perusing a mysterious empty blog instead. I'm glad you managed to find me anyway!

Oh, also! You can navigate my blog via the Index-a-Sketch: http://et-maispourquoi.blogspot.com/p/index-sketch.html :)

Liz, I love all that you do. These seemingly fragile figures filled with whimsy and woo are but a wonderous reflection of you.

Dearest Lizington McBean,
Normally I view all your wonderful drawings via facebook, but I came to your site tonight for evil mischievous reasons. I have a question: Where is a 'buy my zine here' page? You could be making some serious zine dollars off this gold (by which I mean, covering your printing costs to share your work with those of us who like the paper version).
With love and cat fur,
Mischief

Hello Mischief! Sorry I am replying late, I am quite absentminded and didn't see your comment until now! I suppose I do not have a 'buy my zine here' page because I am shy and not very enterprising. But readers who like my work can buy my zines from Aunty Mabel's Zine Distro (the 2013 compilation of Mais Pourquoi is available here: http://www.auntymabel.com/shop-zines/m-s/). Love and cat fur back to you. <3

I found a printed volume of mais pourquois at the zine fair on Sunday. Going to send it to my brother. If he's still sad (I think he is) he can smile at a few pages over breakfast. Also, he's in Hamburg. So that's a nice journey for the little volume.
ps. you might like Bernd Pfarr's work, (here's a link to "Daily afternoon backyard events": http://www.bernd-pfarr.de/seite4.htm
Thanks, s.

Oh! Thank you sts for the kind words. I'm so sorry your brother has been feeling sad, and I hope he can smile over breakfast. I enjoyed browsing the Bernd Pfarr works on that website (and plugging the German captions into Google Translate), thank you for telling me about him. :) I hope you had fun at the zine fair. Take care and all the best to you.
